About the role
What you will be doing:
- Develop high-performance applications by writing high-quality, clean, maintainable, reusable, testable, and efficient code in backend as well as frontend
- Build Backend API function based on product requirement (using Nodejs)
- Build frontend interface that is clean, testable, and reusable
- Oversee the entire SDLC
- Apply CI/CD in the development process
- Develop and maintain all server-side network components
- Collaborate with other developers on the integration
- Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions
- Document Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports
- Clarify technical specifications with stakeholders
- Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams (eg. Product, Design) and 3rd party vendors
- Conduct code reviews
- Coach junior engineers in their work
- Software architecting
- Leading and building engineering teams
- Managing engineering resource allocation
- Technical product management with business view
- Any such other tasks the business may require
What you need to have:
- Minimum of 8 years of software development experience
- Familiarity with containerisation technology such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Knowledge and experience working with event-driven architecture
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience at a tech startup is highly valued
- Has experience with Healthcare sectors (medical, pharma, insurance etc) is an advantage
- Is a self starter with high tolerance for ambiguity and working in dynamic teams
- Has excellent English communication (presentation/written/verbal) skills. Fluency in other Asian languages would be beneficial
- Is able to work asynchronously. Can identify, plan and execute in a highly efficient manner
- Can work in an Agile environment and adhere to Scrum methodology
- Has experience in other languages such as Java, Go, Python
- Has knowledge and experience in DevOps and CI/CD pipeline automation
- Has experience using AWS as the cloud provider
