About the role

What you will be doing:

Write high-quality, clean, elegant, maintainable and testable code
Be a versatile contributor that able to work in frontend as well as backend
Build Backend API function based on product requirement (using Nodejs)
Build frontend interface that is clean, testable, and reusable
Familiar with containerisation technology such as Kubernetes and Docker
Apply CI/CD in the development process
Develop and maintain all server-side network components
Collaborate with other developers on the integration
Develop high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code
Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions
Document Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports
Technical specification clarification with stakeholders
Coach junior engineers in their work
Software architecting
Leading and building engineering teams,
Managing engineering resource allocation
Technical product management with business view
Any such other tasks the business may require
Oversee the entire SDLC
Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams (eg. product, design) and 3rd party vendors
Conduct code reviews
Knowledge and experience working with event-driven architecture
Can work in an Agile environment and adhere to Scrum methodology

What you need to have:

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience at a tech startup is highly valued.
Experience with Healthcare sectors (medical, pharma, insurance etc) is an advantage.
Self starter with high tolerance for ambiguity and working in dynamic teams.
Excellent English communication (presentation/written/verbal) skills. Fluency in other Asian languages would be beneficial.
Ability to work asynchronously. Can identify, plan and execute in highly efficient manner.
